The Design New Attorney Pipeline / A proposal by The Design Factory
California needs emerging advocates. Emerging advocates need a place to begin. Let’s build the platform that brings them together.

LAAC's brief describes a clear gap: students struggle to navigate the route into legal aid, while organizations spend time finding the right emerging talent. This experience connects both sides.

Fellowship rules, summer timing, pre-bar opportunities, and employer expectations live across disconnected sources.
Test the idea for yourself. These links open the working journeys. Workspace records are synthetic. Production authentication, live data, and governance are part of contracted implementation.
Start with a student’s question. Follow it through the product, then inspect how LAAC would manage the platform. Each stop gives you something specific to try.
Answer three questions. Change career stage and compare the suggested route.

One connected experience supports career discovery, recruiting, counseling, and LAAC stewardship. Each part answers a practical requirement in the RFP.

RFP section 9. Final proposed fee and allocation require scope confirmation.
01Strategy, design, and implementation
02System integration and content migration
03Licensing and any recurring platform fees
04Pilot testing, accessibility, and UAT
05Virtual training, recordings, and handoff
06Twelve-month support and maintenance
Project-specific work product transfers upon payment. Documentation and training make the handoff practical.
Milestone invoices link to accepted deliverables, with Net 30 terms as specified in the RFP.
Final licensing costs, scope boundaries, staffing, and any contract exceptions must be explicit in the single-PDF submission.
This is a working proposal companion with public guidance and synthetic product demonstrations. Production identity, permissions, live employer records, data handling, integrations, and matching policy are configured and validated with LAAC before real personal information enters the system.
We will agree on representative profiles and employer needs, inspect the reasons behind recommendations, test missing and conflicting information, and compare outcomes with LAAC's reviewers. Users can change their inputs. Recommendations do not make hiring decisions.
Project-specific deliverables, configurations, documentation, and content become LAAC's property upon payment, consistent with the RFP. Handoff includes source and operating instructions. Third-party software remains subject to its own licenses.
Virtual, role-specific sessions cover content updates, source review, organization verification, opportunity moderation, matching governance, and reporting. Recordings, quick-reference materials, and an administrator runbook support future staff.
Each milestone has a deliverable, an acceptance record, and an itemized invoice. Biweekly progress reports capture completed work, risks, decisions, and next steps. The closeout report connects accepted work with the grant's documentation requirements.
The final itemized fee and recurring costs, company profile, personnel allocation and qualifications, three contactable references, insurance evidence, and any contract exceptions belong in the required single-PDF proposal. This companion does not substitute for that submission.
Explore the work. Put the journeys to the test. Then let’s shape the production platform with LAAC.
